Now I'm coming from the perspective of first hearing this song from this artist, and then listening to the old version, and the old version didn't have any feeling I was looking for. This version however, really hits the mark of the feeling and the song, and that ending, sounds like he just offed himself. Goodbye cruel world, there's nothing left to see, goodbye goodbye goodbye..... At least that's what I would say if I was to off myself, and I've had a few of those episodes in my life, so I would know those lyrics very well.

The riff in the original conveys sadness and resignation. In Korn's version, it dredges up tons of pain and rage.

I think that both riffs represent their respective generations. And, you're 100% right. I grew up listening to the original Pink Floyd version, and this is one of the *only* remakes that I truly enjoy as much as the original songs. As the original was the boomer generation (Roger Waters wrote a lot of songs about how ww2 affected him, and the alienation of being on a stage, instead of a close quarters club, performing) and Korn's version is representative of GenX... hence the rage and pain in the music... I wonder what the Millennial and GenZ versions will sound like...

This is an excellent cover. The heavy riff makes the song more powerful than the original, plus Jonathan's voice express genuine pain as always, and they did it in a very respectful way without changing the original too much. Hats off!

Have to say I prefer the origional, but i grew up with that so please do not take rhat as a negative. Your version of this song brought it up to date and also showed a whole new audience the world of Pink Floyd. This album in itself is a masterclass and I would love for you to cover it all as its a classic. To think what you could do with one of my turns would be unreal.

Another Brick in the Wall is a criticism of institutional school. Especially that of the 60's in Britain. Schools don't exist for some greater philosophical need to create a smarter, more creative society, they exist to make a work force: a tool for industrialism to create more skilled labor for free. Children were (and still are) taught to be perfect mindless capitalist drones, drones that obey and work complacently. Just more bricks in the wall, cogs that keep the torture machine ticking. This cover feels like much more than a simple cover. It's angrier, more filled with rage. It feels like a love letter to Pink Floyd, and a way to express the frustration that these criticisms still reign true. Nothing has changed, they've just gotten better at painting these criticisms as people just whining about the fact that they don't like school. If you can't accept that this is a valid criticism, then I sincerely hope you can escape the propaganda.

My dad will be 60 in a few weeks and basically will not listen to any rock made after like 1995. He owned every Pink Floyd album and even had the Wall on Vinyl, Cassette, and CD, and even the double Live in Berlin CD, plus the movie on VHS. Having said that, he loves this fucking cover!

Probably the heaviest band I ever saw live. The guitar on this song is so low and heavy, completely changes up the sound. This version is far superior to the radio edit.

The first concert I ever went to was the Wall tour. I was 12 fucking years old man. I had a strange advantage at 12 years old, I was 6 feet tall so I hung out with 16 to 18 year olds. I was so fucking stoned at that concert that some of it is a blur even now. This cover kicks ass because I'm a huge KORN fan. I saw them on Metallica's Summer Sanitarium tour along with Kid Rock, and Powerman 5000. It was funny a couple of kids bailed from their seats when they were sparking up a joint and my friend and I looked back at them. They weren't there when we sparked up a little later on, we would have shared. just cause we were in our 30s doesn't mean we didn't know how to enjoy a concert FFS. This was in the old Shea stadium in Massachusetts 1999.

I'll always remember this tune because of Viviano and Vadim. They played it when we and a whole lot of other people sat in a small room vibing on weed, booze and MDMA after our peaceful garden party was interrupted by the cops. Thanks to both of you!
