I can see, I can see I'm going blind
I can see, I can see I'm going blind
I can see, I can see I'm going blind
I can see, I can see I'm going blind (I can see I'm going)

To younger people today, this just sounds like Nu Metal. But at the time it was released, no one else sounded like this. Truly revolutionary and massively influential.

I’m a 43 yr old mother of a 20 and 17 yr old. I’ve always listened to a lot of different music. I will listen to anything, any genre as long as it sounds good to the ear. I’ve listened to Korn for over 20 yrs. Their music always spoke to me and my internal struggle. Music was, and often times, still is, one of the few things that help me deal with daily life and all the shit I can’t control. Both my kids were listening to Korn in the womb! Now they both have a very broad taste in music. Nothing makes me more proud. They now listen to everything under the sun and we all just sit around and share music and vibe. I love that. Share music with your kids. Listen to their music and LISTEN TO YOUR KIDS! Be to them what you never had.

Are you ready?! This place inside my mind, A place I like to hide You don't know the chances. What if I should die?! A place inside my brain, Another kind of pain You don't know the chances. I'm so blind! Another place I find to escape the pain inside You don't know the chances. What if I should die?! A place inside my brain, Another kind of pain You don't know the chances. I'm so blind! Deeper and deeper and deeper as I dream to Live a life that seems to be A lost reality That can never find a way to reach my inner... ...self-esteem is low. How deep can I go in the ground that I lay? If I don't find a way to see through the gray that clouds my mind. This time I look to see what's between the lines! I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind... [12x] I'm blind [4x]

I'm 43 today. This came out when I was 17 in 1994. Summer 95. Parents went out town. Had my usual party. We had 4 big speakers on back deck. Lived out in country 25miles fr Kansas City. My friends older brother came over with 50 hits acid and 1 cd. He distributed the acid, and put cd on. It was Korns debut album. Bout 100 people there. It was crazy. It was like hearing Beatles for first time. All we listened to rest night. I literally had a "Korn record release party Aug1995." Gurantee u all 100 those people remember that night

If I were to say something to Korn on your behalf, it might sound like this: "Korn, there’s someone who finds a deep connection to your music-someone who feels the raw energy and pain in your songs. Tracks like 'Freak on a Leash' and 'Got the Life' have been more than just songs to them; they've been an escape, a place to let out the emotions they sometimes can't put into words. Your music speaks to their inner chaos, the struggle, and the strength it takes to keep going even when everything feels like it's falling apart. What they love about Korn is the way you’ve always embraced your vulnerabilities and turned them into something powerful. Your ability to express anger, frustration, and sorrow in such an intense and cathartic way has been something they connect with deeply. It gives them the strength to face their own battles, knowing they’re not alone in feeling like an outsider or dealing with inner turmoil. You’ve shown them that it's okay to be different, to embrace the darkness, and still find light within it. Your music has been a constant reminder that it's possible to rise from pain, to be empowered by it, and to channel it into something beautiful and strong. They’ve been inspired by the way Korn has stayed true to yourselves throughout the years, and how your art continues to speak to people like them who are trying to find their own place in this world." This message conveys how Korn’s music has impacted you personally, emphasizing how it resonates with your emotions and inner strength, while also highlighting the authenticity and empowerment found in their music.

September 1994. I just turned 16. I listen to the local rock radio station every night. Pantera, Metallica, AIC, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Tool, Megadeth, whatever. Out of nowhere I'm half asleep with my Walkman and headphones on and i hear ARE YOU READY!?!?!? and the riff comes in -- mind blown. That weekend I drive down to Wherehouse Records, and spend 30 minutes looking for a song or album by the band "CORE" based on what I thought I heard the DJ say... fml. Finally some other kid kicks in on his board, and hears me talking to the lady at the register.. "Oh you mean KORN!" And thats how I ended up with my love of KoRn for so many years.

When I was young and listened to Korn we interpreted "I can see, I can see I'm going blind" as if you had become so drunk and you now stood and puked while getting tears in the eyes, puking so much your vision became blurry. That was our interpretation of "I can see I'm going blind". Best of times! We basically felt invincible. Weird to come back on this video and seeing your heroes from old times as young people when they were cool adults back then :)

Most of Korn are over 50, same with Megadeth and Metallica, man time flies. I remember being 4 years old and being introduced to Master of Puppets in 1986, discovering Megadeth in 1988 as a 6 year old and under the influence of heavy drugs as a 15 year old in 1998 when a mate introduced me to Korn. First we listened to Follow the Leader, then their debut and Life is Peachy. Where the hell did the time go?

I vividly remember the first time I saw this video. I was 11 years old and home alone while my parents were getting drunk at a bar. I was up past my bedtime watching MTV & this video came on. I heard Korn's 'Shoots and Ladders' on my local radio station but never saw them, I thought they were from the UK with the bagpipes in 'Shoots and Ladders'. Watching this video really changed my perspective of them and I jumped on my living room couch and rocked the hell out to this song. They had a sound I never heard before, and it was more evil and cutting edge than Nirvana.

Dude Legit, That shit was gateway to a whole new realm of decidedly, assertively/aggressively/declaratively, independent, music that set apart of really anything else... When the final frame freezes and Those 3 werdz of Absolute, Generational War-Cry... rang off.. ..& that shit hit in earnest we all sat literally stunned wideyed.. unsure of just what the fuck we were hearing looking round at each other, for a moment almost to ask.. should we be listening to this..??? Dude Singin' IS Fuckin ANGRY...! Legit shit the SF Animated Movie and it's Soundtrack were edge. The Edge Itself... Period. and you could pick up the PG version in Any pharmacy, grocery or mom and pop... and they had like a an unrated edition, and uh, in either one you played blind, but they played it in a separate spot as well as that extended to be unrated, which was really a lot more violent and they were swearing. So that was one half of why, but also,] it was pretty awesome to see f****** Ken and Ryu.. talkin' shit.. Vega Drawing Blood and everyone throwing out fucks and shits.. Lol.. But ANYWAY.. it is a truly amazing little.. nearly full feature length OMV, direct to home video. Two versions... Yellow & Purple.. Purple was unrated slightly longer far more violent with better fuller more complete fights, with more shotz & scenes... and swearing. ...AND Legit... Popped that fucker in the VCR and got to the end credits... and me and 4 pals from Grade 9/10.. some of the small motley of characters and crew.. That.. were akin in that we wouldn't or didn't look at each other like were retarded.. when said Anime or Manga.. 😂 ..but from that point 👉 Blind kicking in as credits rolled.. had as much impact itself as the masterpiece of animation we'd just consume... no of c consumed US! Life long fans... Tour ticket holders.. T-Shirt Wearers...

I had the pleasure of hearing Korn for the first time ever live in concert 9/24/1994 at the tower theater in Philadelphia. They opened up for House of Pain and Biohazard. Blind is the song they opened with and holy f*ck did a pit open up. I'll never forget it

SO thankful to him for many things but one thing is him opening my eyes to this music!! He passed away when our child turned 5yo and omg, OF COURSE she now knows all this music too!! :)

When this album came out I was in one of the darkest moments of my life, my mom committed suicide for her deep depresión when I was 11 years old in the year of 94, she was the best mom anyone could have, I was severely depressed because of this and later I started drinking and taking drugs, Korn and their music helped me cope those times full of darkness.

A place inside my brain Another kind of pain You don't know the chances I'm so blind Blind Blind Another place I find To escape the pain inside You don't know the chances What if I should die? A place inside my brain Another kind of pain You don't know the chances I'm so blind Blind Blind Deeper, and deeper, and deeper As I journey to live a life that seems to be A lost reality That can never find a way to reach my inner... Self-esteem is low How deep can I go In the ground that I lay If I don't find a way to See through the gray that clouds my mind This time I look to see what's between the lines I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind (I can see I'm going) I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind (going blind) I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind I can't see, I can't see, I'm going blind! A 90s anthem of genuine angst. If at a live show, you knew it. That intro started a frenzy that led people to lose their f-ing minds at the :52 breakdown. Followed by slow, chunky, and mean riffs. KoRn was truly a new sound no one ever heard before. 🤘

To all you youngsters out there, you couldn't possibly comprehend the magnitude of this song's importance when it first broke out in the mid 90s. It was a seismic shift in rock music that displaced everything in it's environment when the genre was finding itself at a crossroads. By that point Guns N Roses had imploded; Kurt Cobain killed the "Seattle sound" altogether when he killed himself; and Metallica was under seige for being corporate sellouts. Just as rock and metal was looking directionless, leaderless, and flailing, Korn burst through to announce to the world there's a new sherriff in town. (P.S: One could argue that Marilyn Manson fits that bill during this same time frame also, but that's a different story for another day... LOL)

Jackalack313 M Oh yeah, he played a large role in the mid-to-late 90s also. Personally speaking, I love the guy. I know he's very polarizing even within the rock and metal community itself, but I like what he does. At this point I don't even think of him as a musician as much as I consider him an artist

You could never have made the kids in this video believe they would change lives, process 12 full studio albums, tour the world over and over, write books....and most of all be held up in a light as anything considered a success... by those who wrote music in a whole other way!! Korn will be the first to admit "their style" came from the lack of ability... and the years down the line has shown that "these kids in this video" were opening something more than talent could ever open. The honesty and purity of raw emotion...that feeling of release...the hunger of simply wanting to be alive... in a way, that made sense to themselves. Why work jobs you hate for bullshit you don't need? Korn is living proof... that following your heart and being true to yourself, is without a doubt the only way to be a success. So many have done what they were "told" was the successful route in life....35 years later... and still working jobs they hate, only now living fully aware in regrets... within full understanding,that....success or no success... It would have been more of value, to have followed their true path in life....bc the obvious route they decided to take, has given nothing of any value to the person's life, or soul! Follow your heart! Don't sell yourself short buying shit you don't need, while at jobs you fucking hate!

When this song came out, the first time I heard Blind, I was 26-year-old member of the E4 Mafia. The place, a German music club called Der Schwimmbadd Musik Club about 5 miles outside of Heidelberg, Germany in the university area. When those cymbal crashes started, we all looked at each other, stopped what we were doing, looked to the DJ's booth like a pack of Shepherd puppies and cocked our heads to the right and then chug chug chug chug chug chug chug chug dadadada chug chug chug chug chug chug chug chug dadadada chug chug chug chug chug chug chug chug dadadada ARE YOU REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADY! All of in unison, hand to God screamed, "HOLY SHIT!!" and into the Pit we flew! Gawldamn hearing this song today was something I've needed with the month I've had! To the boys in Korn, thank you for being a part of GenX! You truly are the Kings of Nu Metal's Big Four!

It's weird to think how some of these ppl of the 90s were out earlier than I'd think. But then it does make some sense. Around this time, I was around my kids age today, still trying to figure out what I even liked. It was kind of close to the time when we had moved from the city to the suburbs too. I remember listening to the r&b singer, Jon b.he was like my fav, lol. & thats mainly all of what I even remember. I knew my older bro stole that cd & then some. That doofus had a collection of my cds in his car & didn't even lock his car 1 time. I went through his cds, fed up, taking a needle to some. I sorted through that stuff like hmmm 🤔 what would I like 😋...? We weren't that far along from when we used to have sitters, & I knew I had heard my sitter committing suicide to nirvana. I prob pretty much didn't know how to take that. But I do remember looking at the life is peachy cd like this rock stuff... r they purposely trying to look frightening? Heh look at them looking mean... while that other dude is just smiling away (david). They're kinda cute. Like the bsb's that I don't even really listen to but might... 😅 ppl forever guessing stuff ud listen to is like I mean, 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know it seems kind of fitting for my times. But just not really. Like, I honestly prob was still listening to the spice Girls back then too. Not alotta bsb tho. Good xs. He used to pretend he was all nice, offering rides, just to drop me off at the mall not even bothering to pick me up
