I was in my twenties, had been brought up on thrash metal. So as I was young and dumb, I scowled on nu metal like most of my generation did, I suppose. That was dumb. Now older and wiser, I put my prejudice away and this song is so powerful... Lesson learned. And kids, take this to heart, shit music is shit, but sometimes your prejudice can make you miss out on good stuff. Keep an open mind.

Is it my imagination or did they play this a smidge slower than normal. I love the simplicity of this rendition. It's clean, it's clear. And the tempo gives it another haunting serene sound that I just want to get lost in. I want these recordings on my ipod so I can jam them into my audio canals and get lost for a few minutes to an hour.

Damn, what would the world be without Korn! I wish they still were making this kind of songs today, but I do respect that their music has to change over the years just as humans have to change. My favourite Korn era however is the 90ies one, even though I hadn't even been born back then, I mean, with those songs, everything fitted perfectly, musicians will know what I'm talking about. The emotions transmitted through the music match the emotions set free by the lyrics and those come from deep down. Truely one of the best examples I know of how music should be like!

Korn was my middle school obsession some 25 years ago, while I eventually moved on to more "sophisticated" music I've always thought that Head & Munky were some of the most innovative guitarists out there...the range of sounds and effects they create with their guitars are truly one of a kind.

Ray Luzier is a perfect fit for KoRn. His drumming really makes the music feel even more raw than it already is. As I've said on the other video, KoRn seriously needs to release a studio album of remakes of their older songs. I'd buy 100 copies of the album the minute it was released. Seriously.

@Declined4692 жыл бұрын
Ray is a good drummer. Every drummer though like every single musician has a particular style that imparts it’s effect on the sound of the music. I prefer David much more than this guy as drummer his style was a prefect fit for Korn but he did some pretty bad things to the rest of the band and he deserves not getting his spot back. They will never never take David back ever, too much bad blood and risk due to his past behaviours. I completely understand why he will never be able to come back to the band but why Head was able to. Head left on semi good terms and didn’t burn bridges with the band members. David,… Well he put dynamite under those bridges then soaked them in gasoline before lighting a match to it all and then walked away. I really do miss David on drums though… When I listen to Korn it is only mostly the albums that had David on drums and I do not really care for most of their new music even though they still have a banger song or two or even more come out on every album since David left. I forget which person said this and I think they said it in jest. But everyone in the music industry has to evolve their sound and Korn has. But the topics the band covers stick mostly around the same themes lyrically from what I have read on lyric sheets. I think the musician was Trent Reznor, basically the guy that made Nine Inch Nails”, and he said something along the lines of (paraphrasing here), “I wanted my music to evolve naturally over time and that meant not always sticking with the same sound scapes and lyrical themes. I am sure I have repeated some lyrical themes a lot more than others but at least I am not still singing about how I got bullied in high school and how much it sucked growing in such in such community”. He never said specifically Korn but I cannot think of another other band that has so many songs related to those themes. Korn’s self titled album, Life Is Peachy, and Follow the Leader are my favourite Korn albums. Everything after has been meh to me except I still buy the albums because there is one, two, three, or even more banger songs that I like on each. It is only their first two albums that I can honestly say I like every single song. With that said,… remember people music is subjective, just because I don’t agree with you or you do not agree with me doesn’t mean you gotta try and rip my head off verbally in the comment section where no one cares really. Especially me because I will not be coming back here. Cheers!
