I’m listening and looking at Korn songs and most if not all are about hurting if not outright fantasies about killing and being sadistic towards others aka loved ones? I question how a person who was hurt.. raped and abuse would revel and want to hurt someone else.. after all the one that hurt them had to be one who was hurt and then passed it on to him and now he wants to pass it on to someone else and/ or to someone he loves? This is no different then what had happened to him ... I get to some extent the hurt and rage ....and song is a way to deal with that... but to want to also be a person that passes that same type of abuse to another??? How is that different to what happened to him? And before anyone thinks I don’t know what I’m talking about or don’t understand how he feels I was abused by my step father since I was eight and he was a sadist ... I have no desire to experience or do what he did to me ....to do that to someone else or to someone I claim to love... just saying I do understand the hurt and pain in their songs but not living a life dedicated to live as a victim or the desire to pass that on to others.. at some point you have to stop being the victim and start taking ownership of your life.. not dedicate it to victimizing your whole life or that of others ... it’s called growing up and out of your past.Just adding that there are lots of Korn music I love but I hope they (JD) has put this behind him and go do other things... for his sake and that if his boys... I would hate to think this colors their world and I would hate to think Jonathan Davis can’t let go of that past...
