This has always been one of my all time favorite Korn songs, but hearing JD sing it this way, with the raw emotion and quiet sadness, just gave me chills and made me cry. All I can say is WOW. If I ever get lucky enough to see these incredible guys in concert in my lifetime, I would love to hear them play this song. My heroes.

I loved this interpretation, which makes me feel so sad but happy at the same time, knowing that there is always a way out despite everything bad that happens to us. Love u Jonathan, thank you for this awesome song. Korn 4 ever.

You're right... However in this song the way out is suicide. It's only positive because to many people with depression coming to this conclusion lifts a tremendous weight from their shoulders, and they feel happy/content it's finally over. If you know somebody who's going through depression who suddenly snaps out of it, acts happy and starts getting in touch with people and getting their affairs in order it's probably because they chose to end their misery. I've seen it happen... You have maybe a week or two left, and that's not much time if you don't realize the symptoms; that's the only reason I mention this.
@spookasaur31327 жыл бұрын
@Khronokai That's a pretty generalized assumption to make. I have really bad depression and I don't get the conclusion of suicide from it. I hear this song and think about all the times I'm behind closed doors, and I break down all alone, with no one there to help me through. Maybe some people jump to that conclusion with this song, and maybe others don't. And some people DO choose to take that way out. Some people also just aren't able to be saved or win the battle. That doesn't mean don't try to save them, but unfortunately some people just are so lost, so set in their depression, that no amount of medication or therapy or psychiatry helps. Depression is a sickness, and a terrible sickness. I have also seen this happen. Sometimes, there's just no way of knowing.

"Pick me up been bleeding too long Right here, right now I'll stop it some how I will make it go away can't be here no more Seems this is the only way I will soon be gone these feelings will be gone these feelings will be gone" I mean... Those are the first few sentences of the original song (including chorus which is repeated numerous times), I could have quoted the whole thing, it's all about a way out and not being here any more. I guess you can interpret that however you want. It's positive, but only because it's finally ending.
@spookasaur31327 жыл бұрын
I mean, Jonathan Davis wrote it. Ultimately the final interpretation would be up to him, but I would assume if he's still here, he didn't come to that conclusion. I'm not saying your conclusion is wrong, but I am saying that I don't think that conclusion is right every time. Depression is a weird beast to tackle because it presents differently in every one. The only constant is that it's a battle against ending your life, and some people win that battle, and some people lose that battle.

How they didn't make a rock/plugged version of this song in the studio is beyond me. The electric guitar adds so much more to it.

We were here! I brought my 18 yr old kid to this I drove with my youngest son, 18, to see Disturbed who were also here. He got up and moved away from me to a different seat when I yelled, "I Love You, David!" 😁

I love that they gave a song like this a try live, given how hard it is to replicate since Head and Munky recorded it with 14-string guitars. I really commend them for it. Some bands wouldn't even bother

Tbh, i really don't like the studio version, and i came here to see if this song is better live than on the studio, and i have to say This live version is FAR BETTER! it's simply amazing!!!! *EDIT:* I don't know what I was thinking back then, this song is beautiful on studio, and while still not my favorite on Untouchables, is a song that definetly stands out, and this live absolutely shows that!
