It really is, and i love how brutal, and fucking badass the song is one of the most well done edgy songs because usually it’s some winery bitch singing about pretty tame things all things considered, while this song just goes full eleventh, and feels genuinely edgy for a reason, not just trying to be cool, or badass, but actually being so. I really love Freak On a Leash, but i won’t lie it has become way to commercialized over the years probably a case of Another Brick In The Wall Part 2, where it’s the only song uncultured swines know.

To me this always reminded me of schizophrenia. Voices telling you who to hate and to hate yourself. Encouraging self mutilation as simple as popping a pimple to as gruesome as popping your eye. I have struggled with this and "recovered" but this song will always hold a special place in my fucked up heart.

I swear to god I love horror movies and gore, but this. THIS?! It's like the animator of this video took every single unsatisfying thing about the human body and amplified it by ten thousand times. I seriously couldn't watch this video without turning away or closing my eyes at one point. That being said this is probably one of the best video's for a song I've seen in a while.

I remember see this one morning when waiting for the bus on MTV. It horrified me back in elementary school to the point where I actively suppressed it from my memory. Now over a decade later, I was nearly driving insane because I wasn’t sure if this was real or just a horribly distorted memory of a bad dream that resurfaced. No one knew what I was talking about when I asked about “that music video where the guy stepped on a nail and then the rat.” But now I found it!

Because almost all of the uploaded live performances, Jonathans voice is very quiet compared to the music and the instruments and sometimes it's barely hearable, but i guess it wasn't like this live right?😄
