Frankly they all seem to be revamped and back to there collective best these guitar rifts go from left to right and bounce of each other like a tennis match on meth ! what with Head serving up a ninety mph rift and monkey just fires one back thankfully Head managed to sort his personal stuff out ( he managed to slow down and take care of him self and his daughter so I am happy he was not replaced) if it is not broke there is no need to fix it I am buzzing to hear them back as the five finger death punch to my ears I have loved for the past twenty years.

When I felt betrayed, lonely or just broken soul I got some Korn music playing. I called the Korn-therapy: apply some metal waves on your soul to dust it off and raise again. I own sooo much to this band, they were really helping me going through all my ups and downs along my life. This song is a good example. Thank you so much Korn!!

Feelings you see Are so hard to believe All the chaos I have in my heart Devils I make and the love can relate All the solace inside tears me up Take me away Set me on fire There's no other way Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain So what are we doing now? Feeling complacent I cannot be contained I'm so lost and lonely now We've been deceived Its so easy for me 'Cause the loathing I've had from the start Evil disease all the hatred it breathes As I'm down on my knees torn apart Take me away Set me on fire There's no other way Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain So what are we doing now? Feeling complacent I cannot be contained I'm so lost and lonely now Where do I run? Where do I hide? Give me a reason to end my life Where do I run?, where do I hide? Give me a reason to get out alive Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain So what are we doing now? Feeling complacent I cannot be contained I'm so lost and lonely now Give me a reason 'cause I got nothing to gain So what am I doing now? (what a am I doing now?) Korn has really come a long way. I feel like the people who don't like "See you on the other side and Untitled" don't understand how much pressure Munky had on him when Head left. Sure you don't have to like the albums that Head didn't record on, but don't bash them and call them terrible. They did a considerably good job being just a 4 man band for some years.

Personally I don't like the NEW SOUND. Not the whole deal with the bands fucking drama. Jesus... Like I just heard the titled song for the album and it's AWFUL. I miss Korn when their edge was sharp. They had a good following and their music was less kidish then it is now. All jumpy and constantly trying to pursue some form of edge that's long since died out. I feel that's what they've become. And I listen to their new stuff really to only assure myself I'm right. Untitled was the last album I bought. I LIKED IT. But around there was when the barrier was broken. Idgaf if Head is back or not.

SYOTOS was terrible.
@LeadMe2TheBliss5 ай бұрын
Do your homework, bud. They worked with a team of songwriters on those albums called The Matrix (who they still to this day work with) So, it wasn't just a 4 man band creating those albums. Yes they are good albums though, but fail in comparison to what they can do when Brian is in the band.
@movedtocameltosis3439 жыл бұрын
Okay, so everyone's complaining about the 'new korn'. They're an experimental band. And no matter what 'type' of music it is. It's still korn! And if you can't accept that, your not a true Korn fan. I'm not saying you should LOVE every song they make. Just accept what they're doing and shut up. Jesus..

+Bastian I honestly think it's more interesting when an artist can break the rules and do something people weren't expecting instead of "compiling a song" the same way everyone else does it. Look at Hendrix, do you think he played by anyone's rules? Lol
@sbstnpofadder9 жыл бұрын
Tokin Taylor I would not compare Hendrix to anyone , he`s in league all to his own and was the best! Also the fact that he is a self taught guitarist makes him a legend in his own rite. Been with Korn since "Blind" and this song is one of the best songs KORN has ever done. JD's voice has gotten better and the band is tighter than ever. People just need to recognize that the band has grown up. These are people in their late 30's and early 40's. Adapt or die... Honestly as someone who is the same age I find the albums relate to my life. There is a lot of pain felt as one grows older be it loves lost or our dreams disappearing by the year. The band is speaking to these issues, not the old ones we had when we were young and angry.

I love all of Korn's stuff. I'm not some whiny kid who can't (or won't, in some of your cases) stop living in his troubled high school past. I can actually appreciate that they're branching out to new audiences. This most recent album is indeed a nod to their older stuff, and it shows. Just because something is a nod doesn't mean it has to be completely identical. Some of the tracks on the album do really sound like their old stuff, just with better sound quality.

I don't know what everybody's complaining about. It sounds like Korn to me! I like it and I think it's true to their original sound. If folks like their old stuff so much, just only listen to, be happy with that and move on. Great sounds from a great band. They sound better with Brian Welch back in the band. I missed him not being in the lineup. I'm also glad that the band has eliminated a lot of the substance abuse problems that almost destroyed them from being able to make music as a band. Good for them. I don't know what genre they fit into, if they ever did in the first place. Korn is just Korn!

this song is kind of new to me, it has a couple of years but i just heard it a couple of months ago, and when i heard it i loved it, but one day i just started hearing it and i started crying. this song is obviously about drug problems, my dad had a problem with drugs, when i was 12 he just disapeared, and when i was 13 my mom told me why, i know he loved me, but i never saw him again for the past 6 years, and one day he had an asma attack (or whatever its called) and wich sent him to the hospital, when that happened my family from my father that i also didnt saw for at least 7 years contacted me to tell me what happened to him, they said to me i could visit, but i knew that he was very weak and i didnt wanted to see him consumed by the drugs, so i said that ill wait until he gets better, he didnt, they tried so many drugs on him to make him feel better but they had no effect due to his body being acostume to them, no long time later died from a heart attack. i know he loved me, but he was sick, someone adicted is someone sick, and this song is what i thinck he was going through, he was my hero, good father or not, ill always love him and he was a good person but with awful friends, it has been over a year since he died and 6 or 7 since i last saw him and there isnt a day that i dont miss him.
Good song from Korn...certainly because Head is back.

To be honest - one of the best Korn's songs ever. Perfect mix between old & new records. I'm so glad Head is back and thanks to him we have what a great record that Paradigm Shift is, and of course, absolute masterpiece and IMO, the best Korn record to this day - Serenity of Suffering.
@Meccarox8 жыл бұрын
i agree, but i think the paradigm shift is better/more creative than serenity of suffering

Nobody gives a fuck what you think Mecca if you didnt know Davis wears a kilt lmfao turn that "M" upside-down and shove those 3 fingers in your ass, ya fuckin poser }:->

+Lucius Melchizedek Whoa, you must have anger issues, I am allowed to freely express my opinion of Korn's albums. I was well aware of the fact that Jonathan wears a kilt but I don't know or care for the reason why he wants to wear them. That has nothing to do with me liking their music anyway. There's no such thing as a poser, fuck off I like their music.

It's because old KoRn is really rough and raw and this is clean with the electronic sounds. So a lot of old KoRn fans dislike that style. I love old and new but I could see why a old KoRn fan wouldn't like this.

I'm a long time Korn fan and I actually like this song. A little bit too radio-friendly in the chorus but heavy as the old songs
@ecaepevolhturt10 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. Everything about this is great apart from the chorus. It's too melodic and not rhythmic enough. If they had made the chorus more like K*%t or Helmet in the Bush this song would've been perfect. It makes me realize just how important David was.
@ecaepevolhturt10 жыл бұрын
zepknot I'm all for change or perhaps a better word is development. The thing which made KoRn special was their rhythmic complexity (the middle part in "Freak on a Leash" is a good example). They have lost that. It's a change but a it's change for the worse.
@ecaepevolhturt10 жыл бұрын
zepknot The only band I can I think of is Tool. Their song "The Pot" is great. It captures the same style as their old stuff (prog-rock) but it's got more groove. It's more accessible and perhaps because of that they are touching more people whilst also retaining their awesomeness/complexity. "The Pot" video on youtube has 22.7 million views.
@ecaepevolhturt10 жыл бұрын
zepknot I never said it was an official video, I said it was a video. I guess this all comes down to how you define the word change or rather how YOU define the word change as I am thinking of the word development. Why change something if it already works? That's my point. KoRn changed but they changed too much. They lost the thing about them which makes them unique/innovative/cool/leaders. This song's chorus sounds like Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, etc. To develop something you keep the good and change the bad. That's how you make progress. Korn cut the good and keep the bad. That's why they don't make progress. Having said that most of the songs on Paradigm Shift are okay but I hate the chorus in this song. Perhaps Tool haven't changed much but I think that's because they have nothing that they can improve. Maybe Tool don't have to change because they are that good. Who can argue with 22.7 million views. It's an incredible achievement especially for a band that used to avoid the media so much and never pandered to the audience, changed their style to fit in with fashion trends (cough cough Skrillex). Tool get so much underground respect and love and they deserve it. People have been making fun of KoRn since 2004; Head finds Jesus, David talks s$%t about Jon's wife, Fieldy finds Jesus, KoRn's new drummer looks like a dork.

True. Some say it's too sterile, not dirty enough, but fuck it, it still kicks, there's Munky and Head on one side, Fieldy and Ray - solid rhythm section on the other side, HIV is giving out great throat work, it's massive. Can't wait for the new release!
