When I felt betrayed, lonely or just broken soul I got some Korn music playing. I called the Korn-therapy: apply some metal waves on your soul to dust it off and raise again. I own sooo much to this band, they were really helping me going through all my ups and downs along my life. This song is a good example. Thank you so much Korn!!

This song does such an excellent job of conveying the true hopelessness of being addicted to meth. When it’s severe, it is one of the most mentally destructive and tormenting conditions ever, and they really hit it on the nail with this song. I could genuinely feel the loss of all hope in it. It sum it up, “Abandon all hope ye who enter here.” Well done Korn. Love it.

Well I already have no hope the second I touched it recently but when I'm on my methadone was trying but I just lost my mom to a OD and now they are kicking me out of my own apartment just because she got on as a 55

Seriously. I was badly addicted to Meth man and finally got off of it. March 5th of 2023 will be 365 days clean from it. It was so difficult for me to stop and seriously this song describes it perfectly at least in my case. It can be defeated and this song gives me strength every time I hear it. Gives me chills to but I'm very focused and can't go back to the hell I was in. I'll always listen to Korn and was glad I got to grow with them since 1993 of their first album. 🤘🤘👊👊

@@benbasoco7436 Thanks dude, It's a horrible drug and will take everything away from you. After numerous rehabs, an arrest, Losing family, friends, My job I had for 15 years, Losing myself, My ex girlfriend is now looking at 15 years in prison because of Meth, etc, The list goes on but the 1 thing I can say is it's a great day as long as I'm not using man. My worst day sober is better than my best day high. I thought I couldn't do it and here I am 2 weeks shy of a year off of it. And since I finally got clean... I got a decent job again, My family is coming around again, I'm feeling really healthy and life overall is beautiful. I can't lie and say that even after almost a year I still think about using it. It's really mentally hard to stay away from but the benefits of not doing it anymore are countless my friend. I appreciate the love bro and recovery is possible. Positive vibes and kickin ass 🤘🤘🤘

+Bastian I honestly think it's more interesting when an artist can break the rules and do something people weren't expecting instead of "compiling a song" the same way everyone else does it. Look at Hendrix, do you think he played by anyone's rules? Lol
@sbstnpofadder9 жыл бұрын
Tokin Taylor I would not compare Hendrix to anyone , he`s in league all to his own and was the best! Also the fact that he is a self taught guitarist makes him a legend in his own rite. But i get what you are saying , but i like the old stuff more then the new. Experimental doesn't really suit me but then again im not a purist when it comes to music!

Korn has really come a long way. I feel like the people who don't like "See you on the other side and Untitled" don't understand how much pressure Munky had on him when Head left. Sure you don't have to like the albums that Head didn't record on, but don't bash them and call them terrible. They did a considerably good job being just a 4 man band for some years.

Personally I don't like the NEW SOUND. Not the whole deal with the bands fucking drama. Jesus... Like I just heard the titled song for the album and it's AWFUL. I miss Korn when their edge was sharp. They had a good following and their music was less kidish then it is now. All jumpy and constantly trying to pursue some form of edge that's long since died out. I feel that's what they've become. And I listen to their new stuff really to only assure myself I'm right. Untitled was the last album I bought. I LIKED IT. But around there was when the barrier was broken. Idgaf if Head is back or not.

Do your homework, bud. They worked with a team of songwriters on those albums called The Matrix (who they still to this day work with) So, it wasn't just a 4 man band creating those albums. Yes they are good albums though, but fail in comparison to what they can do when Brian is in the band.

I love all of Korn's stuff. I'm not some whiny kid who can't (or won't, in some of your cases) stop living in his troubled high school past. I can actually appreciate that they're branching out to new audiences. This most recent album is indeed a nod to their older stuff, and it shows. Just because something is a nod doesn't mean it has to be completely identical. Some of the tracks on the album do really sound like their old stuff, just with better sound quality.

Been with Korn since "Blind" and this song is one of the best songs KORN has ever done. JD's voice has gotten better and the band is tighter than ever. People just need to recognize that the band has grown up. These are people in their late 30's and early 40's. Adapt or die... Honestly as someone who is the same age I find the albums relate to my life. There is a lot of pain felt as one grows older be it loves lost or our dreams disappearing by the year. The band is speaking to these issues, not the old ones we had when we were young and angry.

I know that never never's music video came out before Love and Meth, but this song should have racked up more views than never never by now. This is one of my favorite songs of the year, for sure.

I was addicted to meth for a long time. Trust me when I say the visuals on this track are spot on. This is how you would illustrate the definition of meth without words. It’s almost hard for me to watch but I also can’t look away!

Yeah meth is an epidemic around the world. I got hooked on it to take away my chronic pain and stall my suicide. We all know Head was hooked hard. A lot of pain from a lot of corruption in our country. Also most everyone including myself who took amphetamines or Adderall as kids ended up doing meth. It feels very similar. Don't blame yourself just do whatever you can to keep putting one foot in front of the other friend.

I don't know what everybody's complaining about. It sounds like Korn to me! I like it and I think it's true to their original sound. If folks like their old stuff so much, just only listen to, be happy with that and move on. Great sounds from a great band. They sound better with Brian Welch back in the band. I missed him not being in the lineup. I'm also glad that the band has eliminated a lot of the substance abuse problems that almost destroyed them from being able to make music as a band. Good for them. I don't know what genre they fit into, if they ever did in the first place. Korn is just Korn!

Have ever listened to their old songs? Disturbing lyrics are one thing but a disturbed individual singing those lyrics is another. Jonathan was that disturbed person, he didn't even have to try all he had to do was sing and flush out all that hatred and anger. The old songs had all that hatred, these days Jonathan has lost all that angst. And I'm glad for him but that gets rid of the intensity within his songs. I hope I haven't rambled on and have shown you why people are so upset at the new Korn.

I wouldn't say so. It's like the last time Korn had any passion for what they were doing dissipated the moment they finished recording Untouchables. This is my first time listening to this, and though I'm listening to it with an open mind after their Dub Shit venture, it's still like they're jus' going through the motions. Sorry, man, this isn't the Korn you remember - it really hurts to say this but the Korn we both remember has long gone.
@Cipry1611 жыл бұрын
Indeed. I'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks the same. In fact this last album sounds mediocre, just like some run of the mill nu-metal band, nothing special. It just lacks the ''kornish'' essence.

Im an old Korn fan, I first got into them with "Follow the Leader", they were my introduction into rock actually. My tastes up til then were basically whatever the hits were, but I strayed more towards the alt. rock hits. Korn opened up so many horizons for me, and their cds got me thru my teenage years. I listen to this song, so long after their "best years"... and FUCK! I love this song. It is by far my new fav from then. I have to say, everything after Issues (even untouchables, which i was a HUGE fan of) didnt compare to what came before them. To be completely honest, Issues didnt either, but Issues still had awesome songs. Once they got Head back in the mix though, it seemed like something was not only reawakened, but rejuvenated. It was reborn, and then we have a KoRn, while not completely what we remembered, was still the KoRn we loved and had come back full force with their music. This song is awesome, and now with the new album out and spawning hits like I havent seen since Staind second album... Ill never stop loving this band.

this song is kind of new to me, it has a couple of years but i just heard it a couple of months ago, and when i heard it i loved it, but one day i just started hearing it and i started crying. this song is obviously about drug problems, my dad had a problem with drugs, when i was 12 he just disapeared, and when i was 13 my mom told me why, i know he loved me, but i never saw him again for the past 6 years, and one day he had an asma attack (or whatever its called) and wich sent him to the hospital, when that happened my family from my father that i also didnt saw for at least 7 years contacted me to tell me what happened to him, they said to me i could visit, but i knew that he was very weak and i didnt wanted to see him consumed by the drugs, so i said that ill wait until he gets better, he didnt, they tried so many drugs on him to make him feel better but they had no effect due to his body being acostume to them, no long time later died from a heart attack. i know he loved me, but he was sick, someone adicted is someone sick, and this song is what i thinck he was going through, he was my hero, good father or not, ill always love him and he was a good person but with awful friends, it has been over a year since he died and 6 or 7 since i last saw him and there isnt a day that i dont miss him.

I'm glad to see that Korn has sort of come full circle in a way. Their sound has changed a bit over the years and not always for the better imo. Got a little hip and commercial for awhile.(dubstep? WTF?) Seems like they have come out of the evolution however with a more refined version of the sound that they originally pioneered. Good to see Head back with them as well.
