Man, Ryan is in my top 5 best metal bassists ever. And he's such an awesome dude too. The first show I ever saw was back in like 2002? Mudvayne, American Head Charge, Rammstein and Slipknot. On a side not, probably the best line up I've ever been to, but for a first concert, I was lucky. Anyways, waited maybe 3 hours after the show outside the tour buses and wanted an autograph from anyone I could find, the only autograph I got was a couple from Slipknot and Ryan from Mudvayne. I mean he was out there until the last fan was gone signing shit and shooting the breeze about random stuff. Super cool guy and will always love Mudvayne because of that.

People are so idiotic with their negative comments, all I hear from the dude is positive things towards Fieldy and the band, they have respect for each other. Fieldy is a good bassist and he fits in the KoRn sound (which was somewhat lost because of Ray) every player is unique and it wouldn't sound the same if you replace an ORIGINAL member of a band, people will like it or hate it, Fieldy is a great bassist for KoRn's sound because he was there from the beginning, just because someone has better playing abilities doesn't mean they can easily replace the original sound.

I was especially impressed with Ryan and loved how he was literally all over the place on stage... It made me really appreciate wireless technology, lol. Seriously one of the best bassists... Hell one of the best performers of all time! Such an amazing showman, incredibly talented, and humble... Has my respect!

It's incredible seeing how a sheer bass genius like him can be so simple, so humble. He is one of the best nu-metal bass player ever - maybe the best - an yet so modest. I'm not quite sure that Korn guys really understood how lucky they were to have such an incredible and talented guy jump in for them. This guy really is my bass idol.

Ryan didn't fill in for Fieldy as as Korn's bassist. Korn rilled in for Mudvayne as Ryan's band.

Intelligent, down to earth, well-versed and man can he play the bass. Not to mention that just might be the best "guy-liner" ever at 2:19.

Korn is amazing live! Just saw Mudvayne a few months back. It was great to see them play again and Ryan was as active as ever.

Imagine how brutal Korn would have sounded with Joey Jordison drumming AND Ryan on bass at the same time. 😮💨

Ryan Martinie filling in was probably the best thing to see come out of korn in a long time even if it was for a short time. Mudvayne is my shit!

Ryan seems like such a modest, genuinely friendly dude, with none of that arrogant self importance some musicians get when they're in big bands. If I met him and didn't know any better, I'd honestly think he was just an average dude who plays in a local band.

Ryan would destroy any other metal bassist out there. And what is even cooler is he is such a nice fucking guy it's ridiculous. I have a picture of myself with Ryan and Matt McDonough and the 15 minutes I spent hanging with those guys is one of my favorite memories.
