Setting the lyrics to the side, the video itself is a post mortem photographer like people have been saying. It was an old belief that cameras could capture the soul back then, and so my interpretation of this is that the camera is capturing her soul, and that's why at the end, when he takes the picture of himself he spirals out of control towards the camera and then is just gone. I love this song, the video, the music, the minor chords in the background just make this incredibly dark and creepy, but in the best way. This is real music and art.

I have to meet the person who wrote the script for this video. :') I'm seriously in love with it! I would die so happy being able to shake hands with said person. Typically when a band makes a music video I'm always disappointed. Most of the time its because my own creative mind imagined it differently upon hearing the song for the first time. My imagination is quite vivid, and the things I see when listening to a song typically seem impossible. This one is really beautiful everything is very aesthetically pleasing for me. Its hypnotizing, and I really really really want more.

Lyrics: Things keep ending up this way (come and get off) Another notch is carved away In the thoughts of mass decay Funny how things end up this way Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) does nobody know I'm insane? Satisfaction is delayed (come and get off) Its motivation is displayed Finding its misogyny Funny how I die and go away (come and get off) Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) Does nobody know I'm insane? I'm constantly beat up inside And I'm the one to blame No one can relate to me Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Does nobody know I'm insane? Beaten down, dominated by its sound Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life Beaten down, dominated by its sound Growing deep within my head Softly dying, its soul is shed Eating me all up inside This cancer finds everything I hide Living my life horrified Nothing will keep this pacified and out my life (Lies) does nobody know I'm insane?

Then I found this and at first I thought well this will probably be pretty similar to megadeth... Then 0:10 happened... Holy shit! Didn't expect that! Fucking brutal yet without overdoing it. I also like his voice when he's not growling. If Korn have more tracks like this, they have just earned a new listener!

My theory of what happened in this video: Jonathan Davis confirmed that this song is about how things in his life have gone bad and he feels like he's gone insane, and there's nothing he can do about it and feels helpless, and can't relate to "sane" people anymore. I believe that the post mortem photographer lost his mind after years of being exposed to the chemicals involved in creating the flash. At this point, it's gotten so bad he's hallucinating the corpse he's photographing is moving and alive in a type of "spirit world". This is a metaphor for Jonathan being in his own "Insane" world, aside from everyone else. The other two guys can't see what the photographer is seeing because they're still sane, and they can't relate to the photographer, and he can't relate to them. After they take the corpse out of the room and he takes a picture of himself and somehow enters the "spirit realm", in reality he was probably having some sort of fit or seizure on the floor. At this point the two guys who took the corpse out heard him in there and rushed back in to help him, and when we see the room normally, they had taken the photographer out to seek help. This could be a metaphor for how Jonathan feels like it's too late for him to get help, since he's had such a horrible childhood/adolescence, and carried into adulthood to some degree, and people never acknowledged his issues, or tried to help him until it was basically too late, and the psychological damage was already done. Just my personal thoughts on the song/video.

From a Bipolar. :D This is just an amazing video clip, they depicted insanity so well. I'm bipolar and i had psychosis, somehow i can relate to him, the photographer and strangely enough i feel close to the lady. All in all this is pure art, the song and the video clip. Song itself also manages to depict insanity well too. I wish i could explain how psychosis works and is alike. It's like merging of reality and illusion. I was gathering moon at nights ( holding the moon in my hand and feeling it, i was doing this in public having so much fun ), dancing near the sea at midnight all alone, there are also delusions. That little detail at 2:27, her eyes move a little, that's how it works, that's how madness, insanity works, that scene and in fact the whole clip is genius. When he wasn't looking she moved her eyes even if she is dead. There is a catch with bipolars. You may get into psychosis, lose touch with reality varying degrees depending on the individual and yet you come back to sanity in the end. This is the fascinating part about bipolars, bipolar psychosis ends, mania ends and you regain your touch with reality. It's like experiencing insanity and coming back to normal. I'm on medication for about 11 months now and i'm already considering quitting medication because i really miss walking between the lines between sanity and insanity. Everything mental health related i'm fascinated with. For my loved ones, bipolar is nothing but just an ilness that needs proper medication and treatment, for me it's existential, i don't expect them to fully understand how it feels, how liberating an experience it may be. Eventhough there are episodes of rage and at times the disorder takes it's hold on you and it becomes a burden, a chain, something that commands you rather than you being in control, then at other times it's a liberating and transcendental experience. The thing is it's a really innate experience and no one could understand it other than yourself and maybe some other bipolar or other people with mental disorders who experience psychosis. A dead woman screaming...dancing...free..in his mind, that's just amazing. :D Then at the end he experiences it himself being alone with his camera, taking his own picture, the journey continues him being the main character now. It's all in his head. Psychosis is like that. They really did a good job portraying this.

Dealing with pain daily is hard, it's tiring, i feel emptiness, after the psychosis and mania ended everything feels empty, too materialistic this world, i perceived the world more like a fantasy, a tale, bipolars tend to live in their inner fantasy worlds. This video is so perfect. They really play up on the times. Taking snapshots of your loved ones after they die as well as capturing the legend of how your soul will get trapped in the image. Very good job guys!

+TheKaiTik ya know all you guys are fucking pathetic!! do you really have no respect for women at all? do any of you still have your mother? a sister? maybe a daughter? would you want some dude being a rude fuck and talking to your mom sister or daughter like that? it's really disgusting guys :) you're truly a joke of a man... all three of you with your comments. this is a music video and immediately you reply to this lady's comment and start talking about her tits? and then you other fuckers commenting and playing along making fun of her. haha really it's pathetic fellas... learn some manners, respect people. this is cyber space so I can only tell you how pathetic you are and that you make yourself look like a piece of shit. but if this was real life scenario and I heard you say those disgusting words to this lady I honestly wouldn't hesitate to slap the fucking nasty taste from your mouth Joe. I hate ppl like you

+Aidan sdrakcab I hate rude ass people. you say I'm the white knight? I'll accept that. because I'll never just sit back and watch some fool disrespecting a girl like that. I mean my god...it is pathetic! just sit here and blast your shit comments to a girl that didnt do anything wrong? it's terrible...just fucking bullies. and you say I need to lighten up... well I'm chill as fuck until I see bullshit situations like this...a bunch of trolls here. but you can try to act like I'm the bad guy all you want because I spoke up and defended someone. I could teach you "little boys" a lot of things 😂😂😂 and you saying I make a girl's pussy dry lol but I tell ya dude I could get a lot more pussy by being kind, funny, and a gentleman to a women, and treating her with respect than you bastards would ever get by talking to a girl like she's trash. that's a fact...And this has nothing to do with getting women. This is simply about respecting other people dude!! LMAO it's honestly hilarious tho... hilarious how pathetic that ppl are, and hilarious that I get blasted for trying to do what's right lol but I don't care...I know I was doing the right thing so I could fucking care less what anyone has to say about me. lol
