@Dan Becker "To those that don't know, they actually used to pose dead people like they are alive and take pictures, sometimes family members would be in the photos as well, very strange but true!" - 95TurboSol And that's because the camera had a delay, so with dead people, they won't be moving, so it was easier to take good photography without blur or anything else.

Totally. And the band seem to underrate it as well. I flew from the UK to see them at Banc of California. I had this track on replay on the 11-hour flight. They never played it at the concert. I have no idea why, but the band don't seem to like this track. It is my "happy" track. I love it.

Setting the lyrics to the side, the video itself is a post mortem photographer like people have been saying. It was an old belief that cameras could capture the soul back then, and so my interpretation of this is that the camera is capturing her soul, and that's why at the end, when he takes the picture of himself he spirals out of control towards the camera and then is just gone. I love this song, the video, the music, the minor chords in the background just make this incredibly dark and creepy, but in the best way. This is real music and art.
@SilverPatron-q9z
@SilverPatron-q9z 2 ай бұрын
I don't think that's the point. What's really at issue is that there is no soul, that there is no salvation. We all live only to fill the time before death. We literally live to die. It's all completely meaningless. That's what they're talking about. We are just rotting meat. Everything that is dear to us will become empty, just like us...

+Mr. Worthy Compare See You On The Other Side, Untitled (2007) and Korn III to Love and Death's album "Between Here and Lost" and the new Korn singles recently released. there is a huge difference and it's all because of Head. The dude is a essential part of the band, that heavy 7 string down tuned guitar is the main attraction (instrumental wise) of the band besides Jon.

I collect these types of photos and it can be eerie at times. Staring into the faces of people born 200-250 years ago. Something to know about these photos is, unlike our modern collection of pixels, they were usually analog. What this means is that when you see one, you are seeing a shadow of what truly was, a reflection fixed in place forever on a sheet of tin and silvered copper. If the photographer was especially skilled, they are better quality than any digital photo can ever be. There is enough detail present that, on a rare occasion, you can look into their eyes, and see the reflection of the photographer, hunched in his draped camerabox, staring back at you across the centuries.

I've only heard one Korn track in my life. That was a long time ago. A friend played it. I wasn't into metal or any kind of rock music back then. Then I found this and at first I thought well this will probably be pretty similar to megadeth... Then 0:10 happened... Holy shit! Didn't expect that! Fucking brutal yet without overdoing it. I also like his voice when he's not growling. If Korn have more tracks like this, they have just earned a new listener!

Brilliant. Hats off to the production designers and directors of these first two videos for the first two singles from Korn's 12th studio album, The Serenity Of Suffering. Both are perfectly unsettling to say the least. I probably haven't been this excited about a new Korn album since Issues was released back in 1999. Ironically, this album's cover art shares the design motifs of the tattered up doll from Issues and the kid reminds me a lot of the kids seen on the cover to Korn's third album, Follow The Leader. Having said that this is going to be the album fans like myself have been waiting years for. A blending of the old and the new creatively and hopefully continuing to deliver for years to come....my favorite band in the whole wide world. I love you guys so much.

From a Bipolar. :D This is just an amazing video clip, they depicted insanity so well. I'm bipolar and i had psychosis, somehow i can relate to him, the photographer and strangely enough i feel close to the lady. All in all this is pure art, the song and the video clip. Song itself also manages to depict insanity well too. I wish i could explain how psychosis works and is alike. It's like merging of reality and illusion. I was gathering moon at nights ( holding the moon in my hand and feeling it, i was doing this in public having so much fun ), dancing near the sea at midnight all alone, there are also delusions. That little detail at 2:27, her eyes move a little, that's how it works, that's how madness, insanity works, that scene and in fact the whole clip is genius. When he wasn't looking she moved her eyes even if she is dead. There is a catch with bipolars. You may get into psychosis, lose touch with reality varying degrees depending on the individual and yet you come back to sanity in the end. This is the fascinating part about bipolars, bipolar psychosis ends, mania ends and you regain your touch with reality. It's like experiencing insanity and coming back to normal. I'm on medication for about 11 months now and i'm already considering quitting medication because i really miss walking between the lines between sanity and insanity. Everything mental health related i'm fascinated with. For my loved ones, bipolar is nothing but just an ilness that needs proper medication and treatment, for me it's existential, i don't expect them to fully understand how it feels, how liberating an experience it may be. Eventhough there are episodes of rage and at times the disorder takes it's hold on you and it becomes a burden, a chain, something that commands you rather than you being in control, then at other times it's a liberating and transcendental experience. The thing is it's a really innate experience and no one could understand it other than yourself and maybe some other bipolar or other people with mental disorders who experience psychosis. A dead woman screaming...dancing...free..in his mind, that's just amazing. :D Then at the end he experiences it himself being alone with his camera, taking his own picture, the journey continues him being the main character now. It's all in his head. Psychosis is like that. They really did a good job portraying this.

@@snoox27 Thank you very much, i hope all your pain goes away and i hope you too have a great life. Dealing with pain daily is hard, it's tiring, i feel emptiness, after the psychosis and mania ended everything feels empty, too materialistic this world, i perceived the world more like a fantasy, a tale, bipolars tend to live in their inner fantasy worlds. Do you suffer from traumas, where does that physical and emotional pain come from, if you don't mind me asking? i also have PTSD. I wish you the best in life, thank you for caring.
