It's still not as good as issues , untouchables, Korn or follow the leader. It's up there with take a look in the mirror and sos and syotos if not a bit better. Too clean too produced too structured , not enough spooky lead overtones, not enough feildy. John's voice is great though . This album has 3 of my favorite Korn songs though. This loss and gravity discomfort and the darkness revealing rival old-school. But as for a whole album it's an 8/10 sos 8/10 paradigm shift 4/10 , the path of 3/10 , Korn 3 3/10. , Untitled 3/10 , syotos 7 /10 , take a look 7/10, untochables 9/10 , issues 9/10 , follow the leader 9/10 , life is peachy 8/10 . Korn 10/10, nedimayeys mind 10/10. Korn as a band . 8/10. Possitives.. inovated detuning created a whole scene shocking lyrics, very unique , very simple but catchy guitar. Basically left off off were Kurt Cobain died but was not the band Nirvana or Alice in chains were a few years earlier bin grunge. Negatives #1 too much production after follow the leader, recycling guitar lines, repition in lyrics over 13 albums, a lack of power in John's voice after life is peachy. Production is the biggest critique . I feel like Korn was still too close to the big grunge legends and will be overshadowed in 20 years by those 90s bands. One of my favorite bands but definitely have some problems I as a composer would get rid of. Pro tools toss em. If I was producing these late albums I'd say good songs but...turn the guitar up make them dirty like the first 2, turn the bass up , johns voice encourage him to do more raspy singing like he did on this loss . No retakes the song is going to be done front to back in one take. So the end product would be the same with different heavier raw production.

@MRSludgedude5 жыл бұрын
@@simpap7838 paradigm shift ? That's crazy. Untouchables is my second favorite but paradigm shift is way low on my list. It uses looping like crazy so John only sang one chorus in the studio . Serenity of suffering and the nothing got away from that a bit but all bands pushed for time loop. Korn, untochables, issues, follow the leader, serinity of suffering, the nothing are the ones I don't skip tracks.

I’m so glad I got to see my favorite artist live. I didn’t think I’d ever be able to. Thankfully my wonderful and amazing husband bought my brother and I tickets. Ironically my husband’s last name is Davis lol. I’ve always been a huge fan of Korn since I was in middle school. My family, husband and I joke that it was a sign I was meant to marry someone with the last name Davis 😂. Also his name is really common but is typically spelled with a C. But when his mom named him she decided to spell it with a K (like corn and Korn is what I’m getting at) lol. It’s silly but makes me laugh

Innovar pero ser los mismos, una difícil tarea que ni Metallica ha sido capaz de lograr :)

This song to me is both harsh and beautiful at the very same time. Especially that part at 2:26 . It legit surprised me while playing, but I immediately fell in love.

As someone who's gotten into KoRn over the last several months, this song is probably one of the hardest for me to listen to. I lost my aunt a year ag from a car accident, which pains me because she was probably one of the greatest people I ever knew. It pains me even more knowing I had to move out west for financial reasons, when I wish I could've been back at home with my father in a time of mourning. Not having the dad around who brought and taught me everything in this life and the loss of the greatest aunt I ever knew, it really hurts.. I've been using this song as painful therapy to try and vent my feelings towards everything that has transpired. The loss of my aunt, not having my father around when I need him most, having almost lost my life in an (unrelated) car accident, and now trying to battle my own anxiety and depression on a regular basis. Its really painful, but being able to go to this music helps deeper than I would've ever thought. Thank you KoRn..
